What shipLua does
shipLua reads your Roblox game's numbers, tells you what to fix, and helps you test and ship the fix.
In one minute
- See. How many people play, how many come back, where they quit, and how much Robux you earn. From Roblox and from the shipLua SDK in your game.
- Test. Give different players a different version of something and keep the one that works best.
- Ask. The AI reads your numbers and tells you what to change next. It plans the work but never ships anything without a person saying yes.
- Ship. Plan updates and events, track the tasks, and see if each update helped.
Test what keeps players
“Does faster leveling keep players longer?”
Split players into groups. One group levels up faster, one stays the same. shipLua shows which group comes back more. The AI can set the test up for you, or you set it up by hand.
See why players leave
“Where do new players quit?”
See each step of your tutorial and where players drop off. Fix the worst step first.
Grow your numbers
“How do I get more players to come back?”
The AI reads your players, retention and Robux, then tells you what to change next and why. It only suggests ideas that fit your game.
LiveOps without a hire
“What should my next update be?”
Plan events and updates in one place. The AI drafts the plan and the tasks; you say yes before anything happens.
Update planner coming soon
Catch problems early
“Did my last update break something?”
Crash rate and errors after every update, and script checks for lost data or broken purchases before you ship.
Hear your players
“What are players asking for?”
Players send feedback from inside your game. shipLua groups it into themes so you see the top asks.
Example: test how fast players level up
You think leveling is too slow and players quit early. Instead of guessing, you test it.
- Make a test called
Progressionwith two groups: Normal and Fast (say 1.5× XP). Half your new players go in each group. Each player stays in the same group every time they play. - Your server script asks shipLua which group a player is in and gives them that XP rate. Two players in the same server can level at different speeds.
- After a few days shipLua shows which group came back more on day 1 and day 7, and whether it hurt Robux. If the result is not clear yet, it tells you how many more players it needs.
- Roll the winner out to everyone with a remote config, without publishing a new place.
The AI can draft this test for you from your numbers, or you set it up by hand. A person always starts it. See A/B testing for the code.
Example: “Why are my numbers going down?”
Ask the assistant in plain words. It looks at your players, retention, crash rate and recent updates, and answers with a chart and what to try first. For example: day 1 retention fell after Update 41, most new players now quit at tutorial step 3, and the crash rate went up. Fix the crash, then test a shorter tutorial.
LiveOps without hiring a team
Small studios rarely have someone whose job is to watch the numbers and plan the next event. shipLua does that part: it watches for drops, flags problems after an update, and drafts the plan. You decide what ships.
AI update planner
Tell shipLua when you want to update, and it plans the update with you:
- What to add, from your numbers and player feedback: new content, new features, or quality-of-life fixes like settings.
- What to run around it, like an event before the update so players sign up and come back for it.
- When to ship, based on when your players are online.
- The task list for your team, drafted for you to accept.
What shipLua never does
- Change your live game without a person saying yes.
- Ask for your Roblox password or cookie.
- Show other studios your numbers.
